Your data and security

What Currity keeps, who can see it, and how to take it with you.

Your crew stays in your account

Each company's records are kept apart by the database itself, not by the app remembering to filter. A request that forgets which company it is for gets nothing back, not another contractor's crew.

Currity staff look at an account only to answer a support request or to sort out billing. Every such look is recorded. If support changes anything, the change appears in your own audit trail as Currity support.

Who sees what

  • Everyone you invite sees your company's crew. A foreman sees only the people at their sites.
  • A GC link shows one project's crew: names, roles and card status. Never an email, a phone number, an employee ID or a card number.
  • A hard hat sticker shows one person's status, with the same limits.
  • A card link shows one crew member their own cards, until it runs out.
  • A calendar link shows your crew's names and expiry dates, until you revoke it.

Scans and photos

A scan or photo attached to a card is kept in private file storage with no public link. It opens only for someone signed in to your account, after Currity checks the record belongs to your company. Replace or remove a scan and the old file is deleted.

Photos sent through a card link are read by an AI model provider to fill in the details, and Currity asks for zero data retention on that request. Your data is never sold, shared with other customers, or used to train anything.

Take it with you

  1. Open Report in the menu.
  2. Press Export everything. You get a ZIP of CSV files: the crew, every credential record including the old ones, the role requirements, the credential catalog, the audit trail, the report, company documents and projects.
  3. Or take one file at a time from the list under Take your records with you.

The export works on a read only account too. It does not include the scan files themselves. Each export is recorded in the audit trail.

The audit trail

From Report, open The audit trail. It records who changed what, and when. Nothing signed in to your account can amend or delete a line of it. Download CSV gives you the whole trail.

Backups

The database is backed up every day, encrypted, and kept in two separate places. A restore is tested every month.

Good to know

  • To close your account and delete its data, or for a copy or a correction of what we hold, email hello@currity.com. There is no form to fill in. We give you a chance to export first.
  • The privacy page says what we keep, for how long, and which kinds of companies run our infrastructure.
  • Currity does not check that a card is genuine. Verifying each credential stays the employer's job, and the compliance report says so.

Something here does not match what you see in the app? That is a mistake on our side. Tell us.

Try it on your own crew.

Currity keeps every card date for your crew and warns you at 90, 60 and 30 days, so a lapsed card turns up on the board before it turns up on site.
