Journeyman or qualified individual on site, unincorporated Clark County
On permitted plumbing, electrical or mechanical work in unincorporated Clark County, the contractor must have a master or qualified individual, or a journeyman of that trade, on site in a supervisory role during work hours. The contractor must employ at least one master or qualified individual, and list each one's certification number and issuing agency when the Building Official asks.

- Who it covers
- Jobs permitted by the Clark County Department of Building and Fire Prevention, which covers unincorporated Clark County. The cities of Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas were not checked. Plumbing: a master plumber, plumbing qualified individual or journeyman plumber. Electrical: a master electrician, electrical qualified individual or journeyman electrician. Mechanical: a mechanical qualified individual or journeyman HVAC mechanic. The County also says every plumber must carry an ID issued through the Nevada State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and that journeyman is the lowest level allowed to work without supervision.

- The County code gives no validity period for the cards. Record the expiry printed on each card.
- Read closely
- The code sentence can be read so that residential or light frame construction limits only the mechanical work, or all of the trades. The code does not say how long a card lasts or who issues the electrician and HVAC cards. The County's plumbing guide is dated 2017.
