Journeyman electrician and plumber cards, City of Reno
In the City of Reno, electrical wiring and plumbing may be installed, altered or added to only by a person holding a valid journeyman certificate. Apprentices need a card from an approved apprenticeship program.

- Who it covers
- Electrical and plumbing work inside Reno city limits. Holders of a license from elsewhere must get the Reno card after 12 months of work in the city. Title 14 of the Reno Municipal Code has the exceptions.

- Before doing electrical or plumbing work in the city.
- Renewal
- Electrician ID cards are valid for three years. An expired card can be renewed within one year of expiry; after that the exam must be taken again. Plumbing cards come from the Nevada Board of Plumbing Examiners, and the City's page gives no validity period for them, so record the date on the card.

- The City's page says Electrical Safety Professionals, a private nonprofit, produces the electrician ID cards, and that plumbers apply to the Nevada Board of Plumbing Examiners. The requirement itself is the City's.
